With strong international connections through our founding partners – The Reset Collective is focused on acquiring and producing content grounded in compelling and emotional story-telling for home-grown and international audiences.

Lisa Garner

Partner / Managing Director

Lisa Garner is TRC’s Sydney-based Managing Director.  
Lisa is one of the very few Australian women who has run a multi-faceted content distribution company.  Her depth of content management experience began in marketing for Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and culminated in a long-standing role as a member of the Senior Management team at Icon Australia where she built strategies for films including The Queen, Slumdog Millionaire, The Iron Lady and Death as a Funeral.    
Most recently, in her role as the Australian General Manager of NZ-based Rialto Distribution, she single-handedly oversaw all operations and acquisition of content for the Australiasian territory.  

ClairE GREGORY

Head of Finance

Claire trained as a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the UK and moved to Australia in 2000.  She has over 16 years of finance experience and has been responsible for statutory and management reporting processes for both UK and Australian listed entities.  She has lead major projects that have streamlined processes, improved working capital management and implemented good Corporate Governance.  In more recent years, Claire worked with the local film industry, providing accounting and audit services to production companies claiming film subsidies from the Australian government.  This sparked a greater interest in the film industry and led her to join The Reset Collective where she is enjoying utilising her finance skills whilst broadening her film industry knowledge.

Head of Sales and Distribution

Matthew is TRC’s Sydney based Head of Sales and Distribution, with
over 20+ years’ experience, leading the respective Sales teams and
strategies for Dendy Films, Icon Film Distribution and Transmission
Films.

He has overseen the release of more than 300 films, generating over
$350 million at the Australian Box Office, including – Slumdog
Millionaire, Good Luck To You, Leo Grande, Rabbit Proof Fence,
Brooklyn, In Bruges, Sweet Country, Paranormal Activity, Good Night
& Good Luck, Volver, Calvary, Super Size Me, The Motorcycle Diaries,
Carol, The Iron Lady, A Single Man and Lion.

Award-winning producer Debbie Gray and Executive Producer Julian Gleek founded Genesius Pictures in 2014. With offices in London, Norfolk and Sydney, Genesius specialises in international film and television production.

Genesius produced BAFTA nominated and award-winning Northern Soul, starring Josh Whitehouse and Steve Coogan, The More You Ignore Me written by Jo Brand which won Best Comedy Film at the National Film Awards in 2019 and Mrs Lowry & Son starring Academy Award® winning actress Vanessa Redgrave & Timothy Spall which was one of the highest grossing Box Office independent films in the UK in 2019. 

Genesius’ recent features include Sky Cinema Original production, A Christmas Number One, with Freida Pinto and Iwan Rheon as well as Sophie Hyde’s Good Luck to You, Leo Grande starring Emma Thompson & Daryl McCormack for release summer 2022

In 2020, Genesius Pictures partnered with Cornerstone Films and Lisa Garner to form The Reset Collective – an ANZ distribution, development and production company.

 

Mark Gooder

Los Angeles based, Mark Gooder is one of the few Australian content executives to have run a vertically integrated international production and distribution company with a track record of critical and financial success. Mark established Icon Film Distribution in Sydney and grew it quickly to become the number one independent distribution company for six years running in Australia in the 2000’s. He built one of the strongest libraries of content of any independent in the local marketplace. Transferring to LA he continued to oversee the Icon Australia operation, including all acquisitions, until his departure in 2013. He was the first ever President of Acquisitions at The Weinstein Co where he developed further skills in the US and international marketplace. His knowledge of the content business and his innate understanding of what kind of stories content aggregators and audiences want has contributed to the success of Cornerstone Films, his international sales and financing company established in 2015 with partner Alison Thompson.

Debbie Gray

Debbie Gray is London based and a BAFTA nominated TV and Film producer. She was an Executive Producer at ITV developing and producing drama and observational documentaries. Debbie has also produced over 30 hours of drama and Light Entertainment for the BBC.  Now operating her own independent TV and film production company Genesius Pictures, Debbie has a slate of television and film productions in various stages of development. In 2019, Genesius Pictures produced the number one independent film of the year, Mrs. Lowry & Son starring Vanessa Redgrave and Timothy Spall.

Alison Thompson

London based industry icon Alison Thompson has a career in film that spans three decades during which she has worked with many of the world’s leading filmmakers on films that have garnered commercial and critical success. Prior to her partnership with Mark Gooder at Cornerstone, Alison spent 8 years as Co-President of Universal’s Focus Features International. During her tenure at Focus, she worked with Woody Allen, Pedro Almodóvar, Wes Anderson, The Coen Brothers, Alejandro Iñárritu, Ang Lee, Mike Leigh, and Gus Van Saint. Alison has earned the respect of the international film community through her ability to balance the commercial imperatives of the content model with the original visions of the creative originators.
